The maturity of a Quality Management System
A Quality Management System leads an organization to analyze the customer needs, to keep its members motivated and trained, to define processes for production and for service and to keep them under an optimum state of control.
When a Quality Management System has been evolving and maturing, when it has been having a satisfactory performance for several years, when it has been going through the certification and recertification processes, then the team of members of the certified organization gets a personal change parallel to the System.
This mature state in the System is being obtained through compromise and hard work from all members: management team, sales personnel, and working force; from different areas and departments.
It is through a devoted work from all of us whom work in PARBO pertaining to the Quality Management System, that there is a strong conscience that there will always be something to improve, both in the product and the process.
It is the experience of PARBO’s team which has been useful to lead the organization towards continuous improvement to get as a result an attitude of improvement and service, finding critical issues.
PARBO´s team has achieved through training an important degree of sensibility, which turns into a real commitment. The management and operative teams understand the costs of poor quality; therefore they lead their daily efforts towards continuous improvement.The maturity degree in Quality Management System looks forward to evaluate the evolution level reached by the organization in its performance. To evaluate this maturity level it must take in account the eight principles of Quality Management: Customer focus, Leadership, Involvement of people, Process approach, System approach to management, Continuous improvement, Factual approach to decision-making, Mutually beneficial supplier and customer relationships.
